When you decide to confront Wakasa, she invites Naoe to her home for a private discussion. Upon entering her abode, you'll notice a kasa (straw hat) hanging on the wall, the same one she wore as the Onryo during the prologue, confirming your choice. After a tense exchange of dialogue, Naoe can swiftly end the mission by grabbing Wakasa's Teppo off the wall and shooting her point-blank.

What If You Confront Otama in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

If you mistakenly choose to confront Otama after the tea ceremony, you'll still eventually kill Wakasa, but the process becomes much more complicated.
