Meet Monoco and Esquie: New Expedition Members

Clair Obscur: New Characters

The roster expands to eight characters: seven playable heroes and one dedicated to exploration. Monoco, a Gestral (beings who see combat as meditation), can transform into defeated enemies, leveraging their powers. Unaffected by the Paintress, Monoco's strategic value is undeniable.

Clair Obscur: Esquie

Esquie, the oldest and strongest being, focuses on exploration. He unlocks new areas and abilities by collecting special stones. The other playable characters (Gustave, Lune, Maelle, Sciel, Renoir, and Verso) were previously revealed.

Reactive Turn-Based Combat and Deep Customization

Clair Obscur: Combat System

Sandfall Interactive has reimagined classic turn-based combat. A reactive system allows real-time dodges and parries for increased damage, with adjustable difficulty settings to cater to varying skill levels.

Clair Obscur: Character Customization

Deep character customization is key. Each character boasts unique mechanics and skill trees, such as Lune's "Stain" resource. "Pictos," equipment modifiers, evolve into permanent Luminas (passive effects) after four battles, offering extensive build diversity. Hundreds of build combinations await!
