Valve continues to keep the Deadlock community on its toes with consistent updates, and the latest patch—though compact—brings notable changes to four key heroes.
Calico faced the brunt of the adjustments, receiving a significant nerf to her Return to Shadows ability. The cooldown has been extended by ten seconds, with 20% of the movement speed bonus shifted to her T2 upgrade. Additionally, the T2 Leaping Slash now deals reduced damage, making her early aggression less impactful.
Sinclair, on the other hand, got a visual and auditory refresh with updated animations and sound effects. His Rabbit Hex ability has been reworked into an area-of-effect move, expanding its tactical use on the battlefield.
Holliday and Wraith weren’t spared either—both champions saw nerfs aimed at balancing their performance in recent meta shifts.
The update also tweaked several items. Ammo Scavenger now grants fewer stacks and no longer provides a health bonus. Meanwhile, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot have lost their Fire Rate and Weapon Damage bonuses, respectively, dialing back their effectiveness in prolonged engagements.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025 and the first released in February. Valve has shifted to a more flexible development cycle, moving away from a fixed patch schedule. Updates now roll out as needed—ensuring timely balance adjustments and keeping the gameplay experience fresh and responsive. Today’s patch is a clear example of that evolving strategy.
