Destiny 1's Tower receives a mysterious festive makeover, baffling players seven years after the game's initial release. This unexpected update, featuring Ghost-shaped lights and decorations reminiscent of past seasonal events like The Dawning, has left the community buzzing.
The original Destiny, though still playable, largely faded into the background with the 2017 launch of Destiny 2. While Bungie continues to integrate legacy content into the sequel—including popular raids and exotic weapons—this spontaneous Tower update is a complete surprise.
The unannounced decorations appeared on January 5th, sparking speculation among players. Reddit users pointed towards a cancelled event, "Days of the Dawning," originally planned for 2016. Unused assets from this scrapped event strikingly resemble the current Tower decorations, suggesting a forgotten schedule entry might have triggered the unexpected activation.
