Techland expands the Dying Light 2 experience with Tower Raid, a thrilling roguelite mode offering unpredictable gameplay and intense survival challenges. Following extensive testing, this highly anticipated mode is now live, providing a completely new way to navigate the infected city.
Forget Aiden Caldwell; in Tower Raid, players choose from four distinct warrior classes—Tank, Brawler, Ranger, and Specialist—each boasting unique abilities and encouraging diverse playstyles and strategic teamwork. For the ultimate test of skill, players can even tackle the tower solo or with a reduced team size.
Three difficulty levels—Quick, Normal, and Elite—adjust the intensity and run length. Procedurally generated floors and ever-changing enemy encounters ensure each Tower Raid is a unique and demanding experience, demanding adaptability and strategic thinking.
A fresh progression system ensures failure fuels success. Each unsuccessful attempt unlocks new abilities and weapons, steadily improving your chances on subsequent runs. Deep within the tower, players can encounter Sola, a mysterious merchant offering rare rewards like the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol to those who prove their worth.
While gearing up for the launch of Dying Light: The Beast, Techland remains dedicated to enhancing Dying Light 2 throughout 2025. Future updates promise improved co-op mechanics, refined matchmaking, deeper community map integration, additional Tower Raid characters, new melee and ranged weapons, a whole new weapon class, prologue enhancements, and significant graphical and technical optimizations.
