Samsung Doubles Down on Foldables

This month marks Samsung’s seventh generation of foldable smartphones, with expectations pointing to three—possibly four—new devices. Anticipate refreshed models like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE, alongside new Galaxy Watches. Rumor has it Samsung might even debut its first dual-hinge foldable.

The Z Fold 7 (or potential "Galaxy Z Fold Ultra") could see the most significant upgrades. Reliable leaker Roland Quandt recently shared marketing materials indicating a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8-inch unfolded display. Samsung reportedly trimmed its dimensions to just 4.2mm when open (versus 5.6mm in the Z Fold 6).

The Z Flip 7’s redesign reportedly expands its external display to nearly 4 inches, wrapping around the cameras. Internally, it may feature a slightly larger 6.9-inch screen compared to last year’s 6.7-inch panel. While sleeker dimensions are rumored, leaked images don’t confirm this.

Samsung’s budget-friendly FE line welcomes its first clamshell: the Z Flip 7 FE. Marketing leaks show black and white color options, with specs mirroring 2023’s well-received Z Fold 6.

Finally, hidden animations in One UI 8 hint at Samsung’s next leap—a dual-hinge "Multifold7" (or "Galaxy G Fold"). Like past teasers for the Galaxy Ring and Edge, Samsung might only offer a glimpse before a later launch.
