In the thrilling co-op horror game, *R.E.P.O.*, your primary objective is simple yet terrifying: retrieve valuable items and survive the onslaught of monsters that relentlessly hunt you. Successfully extracting your loot rewards you handsomely, providing crucial funds to acquire essential survival gear. The menacing AI Taxman oversees this process, ensuring you earn your keep.
Securing those valuable items requires navigating the level and reaching the Extraction Point. Here, your carefully collected treasures are tallied, and the Taxman determines your reward, allowing you to proceed to the Service Station, hopefully with a healthy bankroll.
As you progress through *R.E.P.O.*, the extraction process becomes increasingly familiar. What initially seems daunting soon becomes routine as you overcome challenges and vanquish monsters.
Your first *R.E.P.O.* run features a single Extraction Point. However, as you advance to new locations, the number of Extraction Points increases, currently reaching a maximum of four. A handy red number in the top-right corner of your screen tracks your progress, showing both the total number of drop-offs required and the number already completed.
Initially, the Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck—a consistent starting point. However, subsequent Extraction Points become more challenging to locate. After your first drop-off, the Taxman's demands and the location of the next drop-off remain unknown. This is where your in-game map becomes invaluable. Pressing "Tab" reveals unexplored areas, facilitating route planning and coordinated efforts in multiplayer, allowing your team to efficiently cover more ground simultaneously.
The next Extraction Point's location becomes clear upon reaching its vicinity, either visually or aurally. Once located, press the large red button to initiate the assessment. The Taxman will then reveal whether you've collected enough. If successful, deposit your C.A.R.T. ensuring all items are within the grey designated area to prevent destruction.
Depending on the number of Extraction Points, you'll either proceed to the next (repeating the steps above) or attempt to return to your truck. Note that after the final Extraction Point, you don't need to bring the C.A.R.T. back; a new one will appear in the next location/level.
Now that you're well-versed in item extraction, be sure to explore our other *R.E.P.O.* guides for further tips and strategies!
