Magic: The Gathering receives new Commander Decks every year, but it’s been a while since Wizards of the Coast released any ‘Starter’ decks.

The last batch came out in 2022, and those decks are growing increasingly hard to track down. Luckily, one of them is currently available through Amazon’s Black Friday promotions, offering more than 50% off a deck I’ve always loved — Draconic Destruction.

Amazon is selling this Red/Green deck for only $25 — a major drop from its $53.38 MSRP, though these decks were always designed to be budget-friendly.

Still, because they haven’t been reprinted in a while, and because this one is genuinely well-constructed as a prebuilt option, new copies are hard to come by.

Draconic Destruction, as the name implies, centers around Dragon creatures, making it an excellent choice for players who love unleashing massive dragons and overwhelming opponents with a wave of them.

This was actually my first Commander deck, and I have fond memories of my earliest games in the format thanks to it, which makes it all the more disappointing that it’s so hard to find now. With this deal, though, it’s an easy pick to recommend.
