In the gripping world of Freedom Wars Remastered, players often find themselves navigating the confines of the Panopticon's holding cells and The Warren, only to step out and face the daunting Abductors. These towering adversaries present a formidable challenge, compelling players to leverage every weapon and strategy at their disposal.
Freedom Wars Remastered equips Sinners with an extensive array of tools, designed to provide a crucial advantage in these high-stakes battles. Among these, the Flare Knife stands out as a vital asset, particularly against the powerful Abductors. Here's a detailed guide on acquiring and effectively utilizing the Flare Knife in Freedom Wars Remastered.
Acquiring the Flare Knife is straightforward and can be done early in your journey. Once you reach Level 003 Code Clearance, make your way to Zakka in The Warren. Zakka is your go-to spot for various combat essentials, including the Flare Knife, which you can purchase for 3,000 Entitlement Points.
To arm yourself with the Flare Knife, navigate to the Loadout menu in the Personal Responsibility Portal. Select an available slot under Combat Items, and if you have the Flare Knife, it will be listed and ready for you to equip for your next battle.
Described as a reusable combat tool, the Flare Knife is essential for severing Abductor parts, offering a strategic advantage to players who typically favor Polearms or Heavy Melee weapons. However, keep in mind that each Flare Knife is a one-time-use item, necessitating a new purchase for subsequent Operations.
To deploy the Flare Knife effectively, lock onto a severable part of the Abductor and use your Thorn to pull yourself towards it. With the Flare Knife equipped in your active slot, you'll have the option to initiate the severing process. This action triggers a quick-time event (QTE) where you must rapidly press a designated button to deplete the severing bar. Success here will result in the part being severed, but be wary—Abductors can attempt to disrupt your efforts by leaping or crashing into walls.
When playing cooperatively online, coordinating with friends to repeatedly snare the Abductor can significantly simplify the severing process, enhancing your team's effectiveness in battle.
