Eerie Worlds: A Tactical CCG Confronting Global Folklore Horrors

Rifts, typically harbingers of doom in gaming, are the central theme of Avid Games' highly anticipated Eerie Worlds, a captivating follow-up to their tactical CCG, Cards, the Universe and Everything. This new title retains the fun and educational elements of its predecessor, but shifts the focus to a diverse roster of monsters emerging from these rifts.

Avid Games has masterfully crafted a visually stunning array of monsters, each inspired by real-world creatures from mythology and folklore across the globe.

The game boasts an impressively comprehensive collection, encompassing Japanese Yokai (like Jikininki and Kuchisake), Slavic monsters (such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav), and a plethora of other chilling creatures including Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, and El Chupacabra. Each card features detailed, meticulously researched descriptions, adding an educational layer to the gameplay.

Eerie Worlds introduces four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, creating intricate tactical possibilities. Monsters share certain properties within their Hordes but not necessarily across Alliances, leading to strategic depth.

Your monster collection, known as your Grimoire, can be upgraded by merging duplicate cards. The game launches with 160 base cards, with many more accessible through merging, and additional cards planned for release soon.

Avid Games has confirmed the addition of two more Hordes in the coming months, ensuring Eerie Worlds offers continuous challenges and strategic replayability.

Gameplay involves constructing a deck of nine monster cards and one world card, engaging in nine 30-second turns filled with high-stakes decisions concerning mana management, synergy exploitation, and more. The game's complexity demands immediate attention, so dive in! Eerie Worlds is available now for free on the Google Play Store and the App Store.
