Fortnite Reverses Skin Decision

The iconic Master Chief, star of the Halo franchise and a popular Fortnite skin, recently returned to the item shop after a two-year hiatus, much to the delight of fans. However, a controversy quickly arose concerning the Matte Black style, originally exclusive to Xbox Series S|X players.

Initially advertised as perpetually obtainable, Epic Games' sudden announcement of its removal sparked significant backlash. Some players even considered legal action, threatening a class-action lawsuit. This negative reaction prompted a swift reversal from Epic Games within 24 hours.

The Matte Black style is now available to all Master Chief skin owners, provided they play a single match on an Xbox Series S|X console.
