In an exciting development for racing game enthusiasts, Xbox's beloved title, *Forza Horizon 5*, is set to make its way to the PlayStation 5 this spring. This move marks a significant shift as another Xbox exclusive follows in the footsteps of games like *Sea of Thieves* and *Indiana Jones and the Great Circle*, expanding its reach to the PS5 audience.
Developed in collaboration with Panic Button, Turn 10 Studios, and Playground Games, the PS5 version will offer the full suite of content available on Xbox and PC. This includes all Car Packs, as well as the popular *Hot Wheels* and *Rally Adventure* expansions, ensuring PlayStation users get the complete *Forza Horizon 5* experience.
This announcement aligns with Xbox's broader strategy to diversify its platform presence, as evidenced by Xbox executive Phil Spencer's recent comments about supporting the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. The move is part of a larger trend of Xbox exploring non-Xbox platforms to expand its player base.
Recent financial reports from Microsoft shed light on the motivations behind this strategy. While *Indiana Jones and the Great Circle* has attracted 4 million players and Game Pass on PC has seen a 30% growth, contributing to a 2% increase in services revenue, overall gaming revenue has declined with a nearly 30% drop in console sales. This situation may encourage Xbox to further prioritize its Game Pass service and seek additional revenue streams through multi-platform releases.
*Forza Horizon 5* continues the acclaimed open-world racing series, offering a more arcade-style experience compared to its simulation-focused counterpart, *Forza Motorsport*. Set in the stunning landscapes of Mexico, players can race and explore at their leisure. For a deeper dive into the game, you can check out our comprehensive review [here](#).
