Gran Turismo and Forza's main competitor Assetto Corsa EVO is released today

Get ready, racing fans! Assetto Corsa EVO, from Kunos Simulazioni Studios, hits Steam Early Access on January 16, 2025!

Initially, experience 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Even in Early Access, expect stunning physics, precise handling, and incredibly realistic car behavior.

A standout feature is the free-roam mode. A massive summer 2025 update promises a fully laser-scanned open world encompassing the Nürburgring and its surrounding roads, spanning a staggering 1600 square kilometers, with ongoing expansion planned.

Assetto Corsa EVO boldly challenges established giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport, boasting photorealistic visuals and cutting-edge physics.

The launch version will feature 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with more to come via free updates. Each circuit will mirror real-world conditions, from tire wear to wet surfaces, enhanced by realistic animated spectators.

Developers have refined vehicle dynamics, suspension, and shock absorption. Early Access will include the Driving Academy mode, a single-player challenge across the available tracks, requiring timed completion to earn a license unlocking top-tier vehicles.
