While monsters typically thrive in the wild, they occasionally venture into villages, causing chaos. In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, you'll face the formidable Alpha Doshaguma, a beast that demands strategic planning and skill to defeat.
The Doshaguma, despite its hefty frame, boasts surprising agility, capable of swift jumps and dashes that can make it a challenging target, particularly for melee fighters. To gain the upper hand, deploy a Flash Pod to temporarily blind the beast, providing a window for attack or even a chance to mount its back.
Targeting Doshaguma's legs is key, with its forelegs being especially vulnerable, boasting a 3-star weakness. While its back legs are less susceptible, with a 2-star rating, they still offer a chance for damage. Don't overlook the head, another 3-star weak point. Additionally, striking at the tail, though less damaging, can lead to its break, yielding valuable parts.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, Doshaguma falls to fire and lightning attacks most effectively. Bowgun users should equip Flaming and Thunder ammo, while melee fighters can enhance their weapons with fire-related decorations. Focus your fire attacks on the head and torso, and aim lightning strikes at the head for maximum impact.
Doshaguma not only deals physical blows but can also inflict Blastblight, a dangerous status effect that can lead to an explosion if not managed. To counteract this, carry Nulberries or Deodorant, or simply dodge-roll three times to dispel the effect before it becomes hazardous.
While direct confrontation is tempting, don't ignore the strategic use of the environment. Doshaguma's hunting grounds often feature natural traps that can be exploited. Remember to sheath your weapon to use your slinger effectively, ensuring the monster is directly beneath the trap before activating it.

Instead of slaying, you might choose to capture Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds. To do so, reduce its health to below 20%. Then, lay a Shock or Pitfall Trap and lure the weakened beast onto it. If necessary, use Luring Ammo or bait meat to draw it in. Once trapped, quickly administer tranquilizer shots until the monster falls asleep, ready for capture.
That's all you need to know about tackling and capturing Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds. Don't forget to fuel up with a hearty meal before the battle to benefit from food buffs.
