Hatsune Miku Fitness Game Rocks on Switch

by Max Jan 10,2025

Farewell, SwitchArcade Readers! This is the final regular SwitchArcade Round-Up from me. After several years, I'm moving on to new adventures. But before I go, let's recap this week's gaming news, reviews, and sales.

Reviews & Mini-Views

Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU ($49.99)

Imagineer's Fitness Boxing series continues with a collaboration featuring Hatsune Miku. This Joy-Con-only title blends boxing and rhythm game mechanics for a fun workout. It includes Miku-specific modes alongside the standard routines, offering difficulty options, free training, and cosmetic unlocks. While the music is excellent, the instructor's voice is a bit jarring. Best enjoyed as a supplement to other fitness routines rather than a sole exercise program.

SwitchArcade Score: 4/5

Magical Delicacy ($24.99)

Magical Delicacy blends Metroidvania exploration with cooking and crafting. The game's charming pixel art, music, and extensive customization options are highlights. However, inventory management and some backtracking issues detract from the experience. Despite these flaws, it's a solid title, particularly enjoyable in handheld mode. Future updates could significantly enhance its appeal.

SwitchArcade Score: 4/5

Aero The Acro-Bat 2 ($5.99)

A polished sequel to the 16-bit classic, Aero The Acro-Bat 2, receives an impressive Ratalaika Games release. This enhanced version boasts improved presentation, including extras like a gallery and jukebox, alongside various cheats. While only the SNES version is included, it's a solid platformer and a great example of Ratalaika's improved emulation efforts.

SwitchArcade Score: 3.5/5

Metro Quester | Osaka ($19.99)

This prequel to Metro Quester acts more as an expansion, introducing a new setting (Osaka), dungeon, and character types. The turn-based combat, top-down exploration, and strategic gameplay remain core elements. Existing fans will find plenty to enjoy, and newcomers can jump straight into this enhanced experience.

SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
