Having your own house at the age of 18 might sound like a dream come true—imagine the independence and having your own space before you're even old enough to drink in the US! However, in the case of *Your House*, this dream might quickly turn into a nightmare. This seemingly cozy home has a dark side that you'll soon discover.
In this gripping text-based adventure, you step into the shoes of Debbie, a young woman who faces a series of unfortunate events on her 18th birthday. Expelled from school, betrayed by her best friend, and hit by a car, Debbie's life takes a dramatic turn. With nothing left to lose, she receives a mysterious key and a letter directing her to the titular house. Driven by curiosity and desperation, Debbie decides to uncover the secrets this house holds.
As you navigate through *Your House*, you'll encounter numerous escape room-style puzzles. The challenge is intensified by a mysterious figure who watches from the sidewalk, adding an eerie atmosphere to your quest. You'll need to use all your ingenuity to help Debbie survive and solve the mysteries within.
While *Your House* may sound more sinister than it is, there's no denying its spooky undercurrent. As you explore the various nooks and crannies of your new home, you'll be captivated by the visuals that accompany the text-based narration, making it a compelling experience.
Be prepared for some intense tapping, though. As noted in Catherine's review, while *Your House* has much to offer, the gameplay can be somewhat demanding in this regard. If you're willing to take your time and thoroughly examine each screen, you'll appreciate the slow-burn pace of this thrilling adventure.
*Your House* is now available on iOS and currently in pre-registration on Android. Keep an eye out for its release, or check out our list of the top 25 best puzzlers for iOS and Android to keep you entertained while you wait!
