Bezos Polls Fans for Next James Bond Pick

by Nicholas Sep 26,2025

The bombshell revelation that Amazon now holds complete creative control over James Bond has sent shockwaves through Hollywood, with longtime producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson stepping aside. Naturally, fans worldwide are buzzing with one burning question: Who deserves to wield the Walther PPK next?

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos took to Twitter/X to pose this very question, and the response was overwhelming. While names like Tom Hardy (Venom), Idris Elba (MCU), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven) surfaced in discussions - the latter having been previously rumored as frontrunner - one name dominated the conversation: Henry Cavill.

Cavill himself confirmed these details in a chat with Josh Horowitz: "From what I understand, it came down to Daniel and me. They made the perfect choice - I likely wasn't ready then. Daniel's performance across the films proves that."

With Craig's emotional departure in No Time to Die, producers had already begun their search for Bond's successor. Campbell notes: "These contracts typically span three films over six years. Henry's currently 40 - by a potential third outing, he'd be 50. The timing makes things interesting..."
