Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, sparking a campaign to cancel the project.
The controversy gained momentum after online reports surfaced about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes. This led to a wave of attacks on the developers across social media platforms, with calls to boycott the game and its creators.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the allegations, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid unverified online information.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, following the game's completion in early December. These codes are anticipated to be released approximately four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.
Interestingly, initial "final previews," based on sections of the review build, are expected to be released just a week after the review codes are distributed.
