Today marks the end of an era as KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global officially closes its servers on January 30th. As we bid farewell to this engaging game, let's reflect on its journey and what lies ahead.
Developed by Sumzap and initially published by Nexon before Sesisoft took over, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days had a commendable run. The global servers lasted 3.5 years, while its Japanese counterpart thrived for 5 years. For an anime-based gacha game, this duration is quite impressive, especially considering the declining revenue in recent times.
The developers have shifted their focus to the new Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game. Until the very end, they kept the game alive with voiced story updates and even released a final song just three weeks ago. They also organized a farewell livestream in December, featuring Kazuma's voice actor, which added a personal touch to the goodbye.
The Japanese version went the extra mile by archiving the entire main story on their YouTube channel, allowing fans to relive Kazuma's chaotic adventures at any time. Additionally, an offline version was made available, enabling players to continue enjoying the game's story, voicelines, and character collection.
Unfortunately, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global won't have an offline version or a dedicated YouTube channel. However, fans can still visit the Japanese YouTube channel to spend more time with beloved characters like Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and the rest of the crew.
As we conclude our coverage on the shutdown of KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, stay tuned for our next update on Karrablast and Shelmet during the February Community Day of Pokémon Go.
