Key developers from 4A Games have taken a new leap by founding Reburn, a studio that continues to explore the realm of first-person shooters, this time with a fresh science-fiction twist. Their debut game, La Quimera, transports players to a high-tech future set in Latin America, offering a thrilling narrative and engaging gameplay.
In La Quimera, players assume the role of a soldier from a Private Military Company, equipped with an advanced exoskeleton. They'll navigate through intense battles against a local organization, set amidst lush jungles and a vibrant metropolis. The game promises not only a rich storyline but also an immersive experience that can be enjoyed solo or in co-op mode with up to three players.
The creative direction for La Quimera is steered by the renowned Nicolas Winding Refn, known for his work on films like Drive and The Neon Demon, alongside E.J.A. Warren, adding a unique cinematic flair to the game's script and setting.
La Quimera is slated for release on PC via Steam, though an exact release date has yet to be announced. Fans of first-person shooters and science fiction alike have much to look forward to with this promising new title from Reburn.
