NetEase Games has officially declared that Marvel Rivals players caught using keyboard and mouse adapters on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles will face account suspensions. The studio considers this practice a breach of fair play, as these accessories provide unfair precision advantages while retaining aim-assist features.
The prohibited adapters include popular models like XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper. These devices simulate controller inputs while actually processing keyboard and mouse commands, creating competitive imbalance - especially when auto-aim functionality remains active.
NetEase released this statement:
"We categorize these adapters as unauthorized input conversion devices that artificially create competitive advantages, particularly in ranked matches. Our detection systems now accurately identify such violations, resulting in immediate account restrictions."
This announcement follows earlier reports about Marvel Rivals' unexpected performance quirks, where higher FPS settings paradoxically increase ping levels. While barely noticeable with already low latency, players transitioning from 90ms to 150ms ping experience significant gameplay disruption.
Current player recommendations suggest capping FPS around 90 as a temporary solution while awaiting official patches - a surprising contrast to competitive FPS standards, but necessary for stable Marvel Rivals matches under current network conditions.
