Marvel Rivals Season 1: A New York City Nightscape of Maps

Marvel Rivals' first season continues to expand its content, introducing new heroes, cosmetics, and, most notably, several new maps themed around a nocturnal New York City. This guide details each map added to Marvel Rivals in Season 1.

Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown

Launching alongside Season 1, Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown is a Convoy map, perfect for Rivals' payload-style gameplay. Players either escort or defend a moving vehicle across the map. This is the third Convoy map in Rivals, joining Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands.

Midtown depicts a nighttime New York City under Dracula's Blood Moon. Points of interest include iconic Marvel locations and real-world Midtown Manhattan landmarks:

Empire of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Santorum

This unique rendition of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Santorum is the only map currently featuring Doom Match mode, a free-for-all deathmatch. Top-performing players earn victory points, with the highest scorer crowned MVP.

The map faithfully recreates Doctor Strange's mystical home, first introduced in a 1963 comic and famously featured in the MCU. Expect hidden secrets, impossible architecture, portals, and even a chance encounter with Bats the Ghost Dog.

Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park

Scheduled for release in the latter half of Season 1, Central Park is a stylized version of the real-world park, focusing on Belvedere Castle. This Gothic-style castle, situated at a high point in the park, provides a fitting location within the Empire of Eternal Night theme, potentially serving as a Dracula hideout.
