Every Marvel TV Show in the Disney+ Era Ranked

by Jonathan Mar 04,2025

Marvel's small-screen adaptations have a rich history, from the classic "Incredible Hulk" to the Netflix series featuring Daredevil and Luke Cage. While earlier attempts to connect these shows to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) were inconsistent, Marvel Studios launched a new era in 2021 with interconnected Disney+ series. With the recent addition of "Spider-Man: Freshman Year," we've ranked the preceding 12 Disney+ Marvel shows.

12. Secret Invasion

Secret Invasion

Disney+
Widely considered the weakest Marvel Studios series to date, "Secret Invasion" failed to capture the essence of the impactful comic book storyline. The director's unfamiliarity with the source material resulted in a slow-paced narrative, a poorly executed opening, and questionable character choices, ultimately disappointing viewers.

11. Echo

Echo

Disney+
While a significant improvement over "Secret Invasion," "Echo" still falls short. Alaqua Cox's return as Echo delivers some impressive action sequences, particularly a fight against Daredevil. The show's shortened episode count and narrative choices left some viewers wanting more. However, its groundbreaking representation of Indigenous creatives is noteworthy.

10. Moon Knight

Moon Knight

Disney+
Despite starring Oscar Isaac, "Moon Knight" failed to resonate strongly with viewers. The exploration of Marc Spector's multiple personalities and the surrealist blend of genres, while intriguing, didn't propel it higher in the rankings. While featuring strong performances from Isaac, May Calamawy, F. Murray Abraham, and Ethan Hawke, it lacked the overall impact to secure a higher position.

9. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Disney+
Despite the strong chemistry between Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" faced challenges. Murky moral dilemmas, heavy reliance on the Blip storyline, and a focus on espionage over action hindered its overall reception. The impact of COVID-19 on production may have also played a role in the final product. Nevertheless, its narrative elements have become crucial to the current MCU.
