Mecha BREAK, the exciting multiplayer mech game, recently wrapped up its open beta on Steam, which concluded on March 16. The game attracted over 300,000 players during this period and has now become the 5th most wishlisted game on the platform. Following the open beta, the developers at Chinese studio Amazing Seasun are actively considering significant changes based on player feedback, particularly around the availability of Break Strikers (Mechs) and the mechanics of mech modules in both 3v3 and 6v6 competitive modes.
One of the key points of discussion is the potential to make all mechs available from the start of the game. Currently, players begin with access to just one Break Striker, with the option to unlock the remaining 11 by earning in-game currency through multiplayer matches. This process can be quite time-consuming, requiring players to grind through numerous games to collect enough currency to purchase all the mechs.
Amazing Seasun has not yet committed to any specific changes but is leaning towards maintaining a live service model at launch, which they believe is crucial for the game's long-term success. The developers are taking the feedback seriously and are contemplating adjustments that could enhance the player experience, such as making all Break Strikers freely available from the outset.
