Metal Slug: Awakening Begins Android Pre-Registration

Get ready for a blast from the past! HaoPlay Limited's upcoming title, Metal Slug: Awakening, is bringing back the classic arcade action. Launching globally on July 18th, 2024, pre-registration is now open.

Metal Slug: Awakening is a modern revival of the iconic 90s series. Its journey to release has been interesting, starting as Metal Slug Code: J by TiMi Studios in 2020, experiencing delays and name changes before its Southeast Asia launch in late 2023. Now, it's finally ready for a worldwide debut.

For the uninitiated, Metal Slug is a renowned Japanese run-and-gun series, initially released in 1996 by Nazca Corporation and later expanding into a multimedia franchise. While not the first mobile entry (Metal Slug Defense, Attack, and Commander preceded it), Awakening promises enhanced features and gameplay.

The game retains the core run-and-gun mechanics while boasting updated visuals and new gameplay elements. Expect to revisit familiar Metal Slug characters in fresh missions, a World Adventure mode, 3-player cooperative Team-up action, and challenging Roguelike game modes.
