Riot Games' co-founder, Marc Merrill, recently shared his vision for the future at the DICE Summit. A major focus is the upcoming League of Legends and Arcane MMO.
Merrill confirmed the MMO is his primary focus, driven by his personal passion for the genre and a strong belief that this dedication will contribute to the game's success. He also highlighted the significant demand from League of Legends fans for deeper immersion within the beloved universe.
While details remain scarce, including a release date, Merrill playfully suggested a launch before humanity's first Martian landing. The feasibility of this prediction is, of course, uncertain.
It's important to note that another League of Legends title, the fighting game 2XKO, is also under development. Unlike the MMO, 2XKO has already revealed trailers and is slated for release before the year's end.
