Netmarble’s Beat 'Em Up King Of Fighters ALLSTAR Is Shutting Down Soon

Netmarble's popular fighting game, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is closing its doors this October. The announcement, made on Netmarble's official forums, surprised many fans. The game's servers will officially shut down on October 30th, 2024, with the in-game store already closed as of June 26th, 2024.

Why the Shutdown?

After over six years and numerous successful crossovers with other high-profile fighting games, King of Fighters ALLSTAR is ending its run. While generally well-received by players for its impressive animations and competitive PvP modes, the developers hinted at a potential shortage of characters to adapt from the original King of Fighters series as a contributing factor. However, this is likely only part of the story, with other undisclosed reasons potentially playing a role. The game also experienced some recent optimization issues and crashes, which may have contributed to the decision.

Despite these challenges, the game achieved millions of downloads on both Google Play and the App Store. Players still have approximately four months to experience the game's legendary battles before the servers go offline. Download it from the Google Play Store and enjoy the action before October!
