Nintendo is ending online support for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, much to the surprise of many players. The popular mobile game's end-of-service (EOS) date is set for November 28th, 2024, just days after its seventh anniversary on November 21st.

A Silver Lining: Offline Play:
While online features will disappear, Nintendo plans to release a paid offline version of the game. This version will lack online interactions like Market Boxes, gifting, and visiting friends' campsites, but core gameplay will remain. Players will retain their saved progress. More details on this paid offline version are expected around October 2024.
A Trend of Mobile Game Closures:
This closure follows a pattern of Nintendo phasing out mobile games. Dr. Mario World and Dragalia Lost have already been shut down, and Mario Kart Tour is currently in maintenance mode. Therefore, the closure of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp isn't entirely unexpected.
