While Monster Hunter Wilds shines brightest when played with friends, solo hunts can be equally rewarding. But what about those unexpected real-life interruptions? Here's how to pause the game in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Pausing your Monster Hunter Wilds adventure is simple. Just bring up the in-game menu by pressing the Options button, then use L1 or R1 to navigate to the Systems tab. Select "Pause Game" with the X button. This works even during intense hunts or combat. To resume, press the Circle button or R3. It’s a lifesaver for those moments when real life demands your attention. Even in online single-player mode (no other players in your lobby or party), pausing remains an option.
Unfortunately, the pause function is unavailable in multiplayer mode. If you're in a lobby or party with others, you won't be able to pause the game. The best strategy is to find a safe spot for your character to avoid taking damage while briefly stepping away. Remember, monster health pools increase with more players, so extended AFK periods can put your team at a disadvantage.
So there you have it – your guide to pausing in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more game tips and insights, be sure to check out The Escapist!
