The holiday break may be over, but the excitement in the gaming world is just heating up, especially with big announcements like the one from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. They've recently held a presentation that's got fans buzzing about the upcoming game, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza, set in the exotic locale of Hawaii.
During the showcase, the studio revealed a plethora of engaging gameplay features. Players can look forward to customizing their ships, exploring the vast open seas, engaging in thrilling naval battles, enjoying a variety of mini-games, and discovering unique locations. The beloved character Goro Majima will make a return with two distinct combat styles: one designed for speed and agility, and the other focusing on the strategic use of short swords and pirate-themed gear.
Adding depth to the adventure, players will have the opportunity to recruit unique allies to join their sea crew. These companions will play crucial roles in battles, world exploration, and the pursuit of hidden treasures. The game promises an immersive experience with the discovery of hidden islands and engaging in original side quests.
In a move that's sure to be appreciated by the community, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced that the "New Game+" mode will be available for free in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza. This feature, however, will be added post-launch through an update. This decision comes after the criticism SEGA faced for including the mode only in the more expensive edition of Infinite Wealth. It's a positive step forward, and fans won't have to wait long, with the official release just about one and a half months away.
