Yamada Heiando, a renowned lacquerware brand, has released a limited-edition collection of three Pokémon bowls, each inspired by a Chinese Zodiac animal. Discover the enchanting details of these unique pieces!
Yamada Heiando, in collaboration with The Pokémon Company, has crafted these exquisite bowls using traditional techniques. Each bowl features a Pokémon representing a specific Zodiac animal: Pikachu (Rat), Ekans (Snake), and Dragonite (Dragon).
These bowls are designed with babies and children in mind, described by the company as "gentle guardians watching over you and your children as you share dinner." Yamada Heiando hopes these bowls will become cherished keepsakes, "a vessel that allows you to watch and rejoice together in your child’s happy daily growth."
Each Pokémon also embodies a developmental attribute: Pikachu represents kindness, Ekans symbolizes growth, and Dragonite signifies openness.
Initially released on January 17, 2025, these bowls sold out incredibly fast. A second release is scheduled for January 31st, with a purchase limit of two items per person.
Each set costs 16,500 JPY (approximately $105 USD). International shipping is available, with additional charges depending on packaging size, peak season surcharges, and aviation fuel costs.
Yamada Heiando has hinted at future releases featuring other Pokémon Zodiac bowls. Mark your calendars for January 31st!
The Pokémon Company also launched a Pokémon Center exclusive figure set featuring Eevee's evolutions on January 16, 2025. The Pokémon Center online store offers a wide variety of Pokémon merchandise.
The "Evolving Personalities Figure" line debuted with Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon, with the remaining Eeveelutions to be released in groups of three throughout the year. Each Pokémon is given a unique personality trait: Jolteon is skillful, Flareon is satisfied, and Vaporeon is playful. Further releases will feature distinct personality traits for the other Eeveelutions.
These exclusive figures are available for purchase on the Pokémon Center website at $29.99 USD. Keep an eye out for announcements regarding future limited-edition releases.
