This official Pokémon encyclopedia will delve deep into the ecology of these beloved creatures, offering a comprehensive analysis from various scientific perspectives. Pokécology will cover essential aspects such as the diet, sleep patterns, physical characteristics, and interactions of Pokémon with their environment and other species.

The book is crafted by a team of distinguished experts, including veterinary behaviorists and ecology doctors from the University of Tokyo. Ecologist Yoshinari Yonehara, the book's lead author, spearheaded the research on wild Pokémon behavior. Complementing the detailed text, renowned illustrator Chihiro Kino, known for her work on animal ecology books, will bring the Pokémon to life with stunning full-color drawings.

While Pokémon has previously released numerous hardcover books detailing stats, battle techniques, stories, and game guides, Pokécology marks a pioneering effort to focus on the biology and ecology of these iconic creatures. This unique approach not only enriches the Pokémon universe but also serves as an educational tool, particularly for young readers, to deepen their understanding of Pokémon in a scientific context.
