"Project 007: James Bond Origin Story Hits Nintendo Switch 2"

Attention all GoldenEye fans, it's time to get excited — IO Interactive has just announced that their upcoming James Bond game, Project 007, will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. According to IO Interactive’s website, this game promises to deliver an entirely new narrative within the iconic Bond universe.

In Project 007, players will have the unique opportunity to step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent and embark on a journey to earn their 00 status. This game will introduce the very first James Bond origin story, offering fans a fresh perspective on the legendary spy.

Back in October, IO Interactive's Head, Hakan Abrak, shared insights with IGN about crafting this new origin story for the beloved spy. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he explained. Abrak highlighted the game's potential to evolve into a significant trilogy, emphasizing the creation of a new Bond character tailored specifically for gamers. "It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
