Mariah Carey's arrival has kicked off Fortnite's Winterfest 2024, but completing the event quests requires a visit to SGT. Winter. This guide shows you how to find him and complete his Wintervestigation.

Finding SGT. Winter in Fortnite Chapter 6

The initial Wintervestigation quest directs players to SGT. Winter. These quests involve teaming up with Noir to uncover clues and locate new NPCs. The quest tracker will pinpoint SGT. Winter's location—a snowy mountaintop near a plane crash site, east of Warrior's Watch and south of Foxy Floodgate. It's close to Mariah Carey's in-game concert location.

Talking to SGT. Winter

SGT. Winter, marked by a speech bubble, patrols near the plane wreckage. Interact with him, and select the magnifying glass icon to initiate the Wintervestigation dialogue. He'll provide a new mission, sending you to Noir in Seaport City. Completing this dialogue awards 25,000 XP.

Surviving and Looting at SGT. Winter's Location

SGT. Winter's location is a popular drop zone, making survival challenging. Consider waiting a few days for the area to calm down, or utilize the following strategies:

• Buy Loot: Purchase items from SGT. Winter using gold bars. The Holo Twister Assault Rifle is a strong early-game weapon.
• Use Cover: The plane wreckage provides excellent cover. Land near chests for quick loot and use the wreckage to eliminate opponents. Many players might only have pickaxes initially, giving you an advantage.
