Sony's popular PlayStation console themes for PS5 are disappearing! The limited-time PSOne, PS2, PS3, and PS4 themes are leaving the PlayStation Store on January 31, 2025. However, there's a silver lining: Sony plans to bring them back in the coming months.
In a recent tweet, Sony expressed gratitude for the overwhelmingly positive reception to these nostalgic themes. The company stated they are currently working to re-release these special designs.

Unfortunately, despite the positive response to the classic themes, Sony also announced that they have no current plans to create additional themes for the PS5. This news has disappointed some fans who hoped for more themed options.
The temporary themes, released to commemorate PlayStation's 30th anniversary on December 3, 2024, offered a visual and auditory trip down memory lane. Each theme recreated the distinct look and sound of its respective console generation, from the PSOne's console image to the PS3's wave background and signature sounds.
