Squad Busters has seen fluctuating popularity. While fundamentally an enjoyable, accessible MOBA-style game, it hasn't quite reached Supercell's expected success. This new update might convince skeptical players to give it another chance.
Marketed as Supercell's most significant update in 15 years, Squad Busters now fundamentally changes its gameplay structure. Instead of just units, your squad now consists of powerful Heroes supported by Squaddies.
Heroes act as pivotal characters with unique abilities, while Squaddies operate like traditional units and can be upgraded mid-match. You no longer need to stop moving to attack, though pausing increases your squad's attack speed.
Game-changing HeroesThis update completely transforms Squad Busters' core mechanics, increasing squad durability and shifting the focus from RTS-MOBA hybrid to a more traditional MOBA experience. Players now strategize around Hero abilities with squad support.
While some fans might oppose these changes, they significantly improve gameplay engagement. Though I initially enjoyed Squad Busters, these Hero-focused updates have made player actions more impactful and rewarding.
