Sticker Ride: A Short Puzzle Game of Dodging Traps

by Patrick Nov 13,2025

  • Shortbread Games returns with an upcoming release: Sticker Ride.
  • Avoid a variety of deadly traps to place your sticker successfully.
  • Time your movements precisely to navigate through crossfire.

Stickers. They're either the most irritating thing imaginable or, if you're like me, a fun way to decorate empty spaces. But isn't it frustrating when buzzsaws, flying knives, and explosives try to stop you from placing your vibrant adhesives? No? Well, Sticker Ride lets you live out that unusual fantasy.

The gameplay in Sticker Ride is straightforward: you slide your sticker along a set path until it reaches the end and sticks into place. However, between the start and finish, you'll face numerous obstacles and traps that can shred your sticker to pieces. The twist? While moving forward is fast, reversing is much slower, so you must carefully observe and time your actions to avoid being caught in a deadly crossfire and escape imminent destruction.

It may not be the pinnacle of gaming artistry, but like Shortbread Games' earlier title Packed!? and other indie games in this niche, it presents a clever concept executed effectively. Sticker Ride is scheduled to launch on February 6th for iOS.

Currently, Sticker Ride is in its pre-launch phase, with Shortbread Games sharing an early trailer and screenshots with us. As mentioned, it fits into that indie mobile game niche—offering relatively short and sweet experiences that are still well worth checking out.

Sometimes it seems like bigger is always better, but Shortbread and similar developers are reviving the spirit of experimentation that once defined mobile gaming. Does that guarantee a massive hit in the future? Not necessarily. But does it need to? Probably not—they’ve created an engaging puzzler that stands on its own.
