Take-Two has revealed the sales of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2

In a testament to its enduring popularity, Grand Theft Auto V has achieved yet another milestone by selling 5 million copies within the last three months. Despite being over a decade old since its initial release in September 2013, GTA 5 continues to reign supreme as one of the best-selling games in history.

Similarly, Red Dead Redemption 2 is experiencing a sales surge, with the game reaching a total of 70 million copies sold, boosted by an additional 3 million copies in the last quarter. Launched in October 2018, RDR2's enduring appeal underscores its status as a modern classic.

A significant factor in GTA 5's sustained success is its multiplayer component, GTA Online. Take-Two Interactive keeps the community engaged with ongoing updates, such as the December 2024 release of Agents of Sabotage, ensuring that the game remains fresh and exciting for players.

Looking ahead, fans have much to anticipate. Take-Two has officially announced that Grand Theft Auto VI is slated for a fall 2025 release. Additionally, gamers can look forward to Mafia: The Old Country in the summer and Borderlands 4 later in the year.

For those eagerly awaiting Grand Theft Auto VI, rest assured that the game remains on schedule for its autumn release, as confirmed in Take-Two's latest financial presentation. While specific release dates for Borderlands 4 have yet to be disclosed, its launch within the year has been confirmed.

Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, emphasized the meticulous approach Rockstar Games is taking with the development of GTA VI. He noted that, similar to previous projects like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, additional time may be necessary to ensure the game meets the high standards expected by fans.
