Bendy and the Ink Machine is making a mobile comeback with Bendy: Lone Wolf! Building upon the gameplay established by Boris and the Dark Survival, this new title expands the experience and arrives on iOS, Android, Switch, and Steam in 2025.
Remember the quirky survival horror that swept the mid-2010s? Bendy and the Ink Machine's episodic structure, unique rubber hose-style enemies and environments, and captivating story captivated players worldwide. Now, the franchise returns, including a mobile iteration!
The reveal trailer (linked below) showcases Bendy: Lone Wolf's top-down, isometric gameplay. Players seemingly control Boris the Wolf, navigating the perils of Joey Drew Studios.
The original Bendy and the Ink Machine, along with spin-offs Nightmare Run and Boris and the Dark Survival, are already available on mobile. Lone Wolf appears to borrow heavily from Dark Survival, though its exact relationship—whether a definitive edition or a fresh take—remains unclear.
A Lasting Legacy
Regardless, the Bendy and the Ink Machine franchise maintains significant popularity, recognized as a pioneer of mascot horror games alongside the iconic Five Nights at Freddy's.
Bendy: Lone Wolf's success hinges on its execution. While not the first isometric survival horror featuring Boris, its multi-platform release (including Steam and Switch) suggests lessons learned from previous mobile entries will translate into a more terrifying experience.
