Uno! Mobile Gets Beyond Color Update

by Matthew Apr 12,2025

Mobile game developer Mattel163 has introduced the Beyond Colors update for three of its popular card games: Phase 10: World Tour, UNO! Mobile, and Skip-Bo Mobile. This update enhances the inclusivity and accessibility of these games by introducing colorblind-friendly decks. These specially designed decks use basic shapes such as squares and triangles to represent the traditional card colors, making it easier for colorblind players to distinguish between different cards.

The Beyond Colors feature is a significant step towards making Mattel163's titles more inclusive. Players can activate this feature by tapping their avatar in-game to access account settings and selecting the Beyond Color deck under the card theme options.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, around 300 million people worldwide experience colorblindness. By introducing these new deck options, Mattel163 aims to break down barriers and make their games, including UNO! Mobile, accessible to a broader audience.

In developing the Beyond Color decks, Mattel163 collaborated with gamers, including those with colorblindness, to ensure the symbols used are effective and consistent across all three games. Mattel has set an ambitious goal to make 80% of its games portfolio colorblind accessible by 2025.

UNO! Mobile brings the classic card game where players race to be the first to discard all their cards to mobile devices. Phase 10: World Tour challenges players to complete each phase as quickly as possible, while Skip-Bo Mobile offers a unique twist on the traditional solitaire game.

These games are available for download on the App Store and Google Play. For more information on Mattel163 and the Beyond Color update, visit their official website or follow them on Facebook for the latest updates and news.
