BioWare appears to be steering away from releasing any downloadable content (DLC) for their latest game, Dragon Age: The Veilguard. According to a recent report by Rolling Stone, BioWare's creative director, John Epler, confirmed that the studio has no current plans for DLCs for Veilguard, as the game is now considered complete. With the official launch of Veilguard, BioWare has shifted its focus to the next chapter in their acclaimed military sci-fi series, Mass Effect.
While Epler did not provide further details on potential Veilguard DLCs, he did share insights on the possibility of a remastered collection for the Dragon Age series. Epler expressed enthusiasm for the idea of a Dragon Age remastered collection, similar to the successful Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which updated the first three Mass Effect games for modern consoles. However, he highlighted the challenges involved, noting that the original Dragon Age games were built using EA's proprietary game engines, making the remastering process more complex than it was for Mass Effect.
"It's something that's not going to be as easy as Mass Effect, but we do love the original games," Epler stated. He concluded with a hopeful note, saying, "Never say never, I guess that's what it comes down to."
