World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Turbulent Timeways Returns!

World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a whopping seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns, running until February 24th. Get ready for a nostalgic journey through WoW's history, with chances to earn exciting new rewards and a significant experience boost.

This expanded event builds upon the success of the September 2023 iteration, which featured five weeks of Timewalking. This time around, players can earn the Mastery of Timeways buff (a 20% experience bonus after completing four Timewalking dungeons) each week. Achieving Mastery five out of the seven weeks unlocks the coveted Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement, rewarding players with the charming Timely Buzzbee mount.

A Timewalking Odyssey:

The event progresses chronologically through various WoW expansions:

• January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
• January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
• January 21-27: Legion
• January 28-February 3: Classic
• February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
• February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
• February 18-24: Cataclysm

Each week presents the usual Timewalking quests, dungeons, and raids, along with the valuable Mastery of Timeways buff. Timewalking vendors offer permanent additions to their inventory, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. For those who missed it last time, the Sandy Shalewing pet is also available. Completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest rewards a Cache of Nerubian Treasures, containing Heroic-level gear throughout the event's duration.

More Than Just Timewalking:

With the recent conclusion of the WoW 20th-anniversary event (which also included extensive Timewalking), players will have enjoyed a remarkable 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking!

The Turbulent Timeways' end date (February 24th) offers a significant clue regarding future WoW updates. Considering Blizzard's typical release schedule and the holiday season, the launch of Patch 11.1, "Undermined," is highly anticipated for February 25th, approximately 10 weeks after Patch 11.0.7. Combined with the continued Plunderstorm event and the upcoming War Within update, World of Warcraft is poised for a thrilling start to 2025. Prepare for an action-packed year!
