カプコン初のゲーム開発コンテスト: RE エンジンが学生の挑戦を支援
カプコンは、産学連携によるゲーム産業の発展強化を目的として、「第1回カプコンゲームコンペティション」を開催します。このイベントについてもっと詳しく見てみましょう！
カプコンは、史上初のゲーム開発コンテストであるカプコン ゲーム コンテストを発表します。 「教育機関における研究開発の促進」によるゲーム業界の活性化を目的として、カプコン独自のREエンジンを使用したゲームを開発する日本の学生を対象としたコンテストです。カプコンは、この産学連携を通じて業界全体の強化、研究開発の推進、競技会での人材育成を目指してまいります。
参加学生は最大20名でチームを編成し、各メンバーはゲーム制作スタッフの職種に応じて役割を割り当てられます。カプコンのプロ開発者のサポートを受けながら、チームメンバーは6か月間協力してゲームを開発することで「最先端のゲーム開発プロセス」を学びます。また、カプコンはコンテスト受賞者に対して「ゲーム制作支援および商品化の機会」を提供する予定だ。
登録期間は、2024 年 12 月 9 日から 2025 年 1 月 17 日までです (別途通知がない限り)。応募資格は18歳以上で、日本の大学、大学院、専門学校に在学中であること。
Reach for the Moon エンジンとしても知られる RE エンジンは、2014 年からカプコンによって開発された独立したゲーム開発エンジンです。元々は 2017 年の「バイオハザード 7: バイオハザード」用に設計されました。それ以来、他の最近のバイオハザード ゲーム、ドラゴンズ ドグマ 2、鬼武者: Path of the Gods、そして来年公開予定のモンスター ハンター: ワイルドランズなど、いくつかのカプコン ゲームでも使用されています。したがって、より高品質のゲームを開発するために、エンジンは常に進化およびアップグレードされています。
