Splitgate 2は、ソニーの2025年2月「State of Play」イベントにて、オープンアルファプレイテストを発表しました。このプレイテストは正式に2025年2月27日から3月3日まで実施されました。前回のPC限定クローズドアルファとは異なり、今回のオープンアルファはPC（Steam経由）、PlayStation 5、Xbox Series X|Sで利用可能でした。
