The enchanting world of *The Tale of Food*, an RPG adventure management game featuring personified culinary delights, is set to close its doors. Initially launched for a closed beta in China in September 2019 and later distributed by Tencent Games, this unique game allowed players to command an army of charming, personified dishes. Here's everything you need to know about the impending shutdown of *The Tale of Food*.
Mark your calendars, as *The Tale of Food* will officially shut down on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8). As of February 18th, 2025, in-game purchases have been disabled. Additionally, new player registrations have been halted as of today, and the game has been delisted from the Google Play Store. However, if you've already downloaded the game, you can continue playing until the servers close on the aforementioned date.
If you've purchased any jewels between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, you're eligible for a refund. You can request a refund by contacting in-game support or emailing the developers before March 20th. For more detailed information on the terms and conditions of the shutdown, visit the official X (formerly Twitter) page of *The Tale of Food*.
It's worth noting that the Japan server for *The Tale of Food* closed in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. Now, it's the global version's turn to bid farewell. As you prepare to say goodbye to your role as the Food God’s child, managing a realm filled with dumplings and sophisticated seafood, remember that the official X, Facebook, and Discord communities will remain active. These platforms will serve as spaces to reminisce and share your cherished memories even after the servers shut down.
