Starting today, Dell is offering an unbeatable deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, now equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99 shipped. This price point is exceptionally competitive, especially when you consider that other brands have been steadily increasing prices since the RTX 50 series launch back in January. At Dell, the only other prebuilt system featuring an RTX 5080 GPU is priced over $4,000. If you're considering building your own PC, finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU is a challenge, likely costing as much as the entire Alienware system.

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU offers a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, 20 cores, and a 30MB cache. It's kept cool with a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is supported by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.
The RTX 5080 is one of the three new Blackwell graphics cards that have hit the market but are almost impossible to find. In our review of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE, Jackie noted, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 may not be a significant upgrade – its performance is not markedly superior to the RTX 4080, though DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance game visuals. However, for gamers looking to upgrade from older GPUs, the RTX 5080 offers a substantial performance boost, especially if you're keen on leveraging Nvidia’s AI enhancements."
The initial preorders for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards, including the high-end RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, sold out within the first hour of availability. The RTX 5070 Ti followed in February but met the same fate. Similarly, prebuilt gaming PCs featuring these new GPUs are either sold out, have increased in price, or are facing extended delivery delays.
