In 2025, Presidents' Day falls on Monday, February 17, and the Dell President's Day Sale is traditionally one of the year's biggest events, offering discounts that rival those seen during Back to School and Black Friday. This sale presents a prime opportunity to purchase Dell gaming PCs or laptops in the first half of the year.
However, this year, Alienware seems to be taking a slower approach. The current deals aren't particularly compelling, but we anticipate better offers to emerge over the weekend and on Presidents' Day itself.

Dell has just launched its new Alienware Area-51 lineup of gaming PCs. Currently, they are available in only two configurations, both featuring an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, starting at $4,449.99. Please note that these systems are not available for immediate delivery; Dell estimates they will arrive by the end of March.
Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis retains a similar aesthetic to the 2024 R16 system but includes minor redesigns for better cooling and updated components. The I/O panel is now positioned at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window spans the entire side panel, eliminating side panel vents. Air intakes are now located at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design for a less dusty interior. The internal components have been refreshed with a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.

As noted by Chris Coke in his review, "The RTX 4090 may be huge and expensive, but it delivers unparalleled performance... With its impressive hardware and DLSS 3 AI capabilities, the $1,599 price doesn't seem unreasonable for the frame rates it can achieve." The 4090 is also excellent for AI applications, thanks to its 24GB of VRAM.

The RTX 4070 Ti Super, a second-generation RTX 40 series GPU, offers about 10% more power than the RTX 4070 Ti and 15-25% more than the RTX 4070 Super, making it ideal for 1440p and 4K gaming. It also includes an increased VRAM of 16GB compared to the RTX 4070.
