In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, simply forging new armor sets might not cut it as you progress through the game. To tackle the increasingly tough challenges, upgrading your existing armor sets becomes crucial. Here's your guide to acquiring and effectively using Armor Spheres in *Monster Hunter Wilds*.
Armor Spheres in *Monster Hunter Wilds* are primarily awarded as quest rewards. You can earn them by successfully completing both main and optional quests throughout the game.
You'll start receiving Armor Spheres as rewards after defeating Uth Duna for the first time. From then on, most main and optional quests will offer Armor Spheres upon completion. To see what rewards are up for grabs, select a quest from your journal and hit the R1 button to view the rewards list. Once you've completed a hunt, you'll see your rewards on the results screen.
These Spheres are quite farmable, meaning you'll gather a good number just by playing through the main storyline. Additionally, if you're thorough with your optional quests, you'll amass even more Armor Spheres.
Armor Spheres are essential for upgrading your armor pieces. Head to base camp and talk to Gemma, the smithy. Choose to either forge or upgrade your armor. Select a piece of gear you've already crafted, then press R1 to switch to the Upgrade tab.
Choose the item you wish to upgrade, and you'll need to spend Armor Spheres along with some Zenny. Keep in mind that the higher the upgrade level, the more it will cost to reach the next level.
That's everything you need to know about acquiring and using Armor Spheres in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and insights on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
