Ayaneo, a Chinese company known for its handheld gaming devices since its founding in 2020, has made a significant move into the Android gaming market by unveiling its first Android gaming devices at GDC 2025 in San Francisco. Initially recognized for its Windows-based handheld gaming PCs, Ayaneo has now expanded its product range to include robust Android gaming hardware.
Ayaneo has introduced two exciting new devices: the Ayaneo Gaming Pad and the Ayaneo Pocket S2. Both are powered by Qualcomm's cutting-edge Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 platform, marking them as pioneers in utilizing this advanced hardware. This platform promises significant enhancements in CPU and GPU performance compared to its predecessors.
The Ayaneo Gaming Pad is an Android gaming tablet featuring an 8.3-inch LCD screen with a high-resolution 1440p display and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing and Snapdragon Game Super Resolution, ensuring top-notch gaming visuals. Additionally, it includes Wi-Fi 7 connectivity for enhanced online gaming experiences. The device boasts a sleek design with a glass back and a CNC-machined metal frame, alongside impressive camera capabilities with a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP front-facing camera, setting it apart from typical gaming tablets.
The Ayaneo Pocket S2 is a new Android handheld featuring a 6.3-inch 1440p display. It includes an upgraded Hall-effect joystick, linear triggers, and dual X-axis motors for enhanced haptic feedback, promising a more immersive gaming experience. The handheld is equipped with Ayaneo's proprietary gaming software, AyaSpace and AyaHome, which provide comprehensive game management and customization options. Like the Gaming Pad, it leverages the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 platform for improved energy efficiency and performance, including hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
For those interested in these new devices, further details can be found on Ayaneo's official website. While pricing and availability have not yet been disclosed, more information is expected to be released soon.
