Clash of Clans Is Going to Make Big Changes with Its March 2025 Update

Clash of Clans is set for a massive update in March 2025, addressing long-standing player requests with some of the most significant changes in the game's history. Several features are being retired to streamline gameplay.

No More Troop, Spell, or Siege Machine Training Times!

Prepare for non-stop action! The update eliminates troop, spell, and siege machine training times, allowing for back-to-back attacks and a much faster-paced battle experience. Hero recovery time is also gone, keeping your heroes constantly in the fight. This change applies to Titan League and below; the Legend League retains its eight-battle daily limit for now. This update continues Clash of Clans's trend of removing outdated mechanics, following the removal of training costs in 2022. By eliminating training time, Supercell aims to provide a more fluid and barrier-free gaming experience.

Adjustments to Accompany the Changes:

With the removal of training times, Training Potions and Training Treats become obsolete. These items will be removed from in-app purchase bundles, and any remaining in player inventories will be converted into Gems.

Introducing the New Match Anytime System!

To ensure continuous gameplay, a new Match Anytime system will provide snapshot bases for attack when real bases are unavailable. These are saved versions of shielded player bases. Battles against snapshot bases function like normal attacks, with loot and trophy gains for the attacker, but no losses for the defender. This system, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League, is now expanding to multiplayer battles.

Further Tweaks:

To balance the increased battle frequency, the number of trophies earned per victory is being adjusted. Additionally, Clan Castle request timers are being standardized to 10 minutes for all players.
